From autumn 2020, our two KISH Houses - the Naturkindergarten London and The Nature Nursery - will be merged into one location, St Andrew's Church Hall. As KISH Naturkindergarten London with a clear bilingual focus, we will accompany German and English-speaking children together in one facility on their adventure of playful learning. Naturally we stay true to our successful nature concept! We will introduce our new bilingual approach to you in detail on this page in the coming weeks. Watch this space for regular updates! We look forward to writing this new chapter in the long-standing KISH history together with you and your children. There are still a few spots available for the autumn semester. We are looking forward to your applications.
Kind regards, The KISH Team
25 years “Kids in the Scout House”
KISH started in 1995 at the Sea Scout House in Petersham next to the German School London (DSL). Our name derives from our first location: KISH= Kids In the Scout House.
Through our long-standing relationship with the German School London we also extended our opening hours and welcomed children from the DSL to join us for afternoons at KISH.
Just as our children grow up and move on it is time for KISH to leave the nest and say good-bye to the Scout House.
A new beginning at the wonderful St Andrew’s Church Hall
From Summer 2019, KISH has a new home in St Andrew’s Church Hall. The location is surrounded by idyllic woodlands and only a short walk from the wonderful Richmond Park. It is also only 4 minutes by car from the German School London.
The KISH children will enjoy the spacious and light rooms, the big and private garden, and the great Nature Day opportunities in Ham Woodlands as well as Richmond Park.
The parents are also in for a treat as we can now extend our opening times!
For children aged 3 to 8 years, who join our Afternoon Club, we now organise a private mini-bus pick up service from the German School London.
Our long-standing ethos
The relationship with the natural environment as well as the development of the German/English language are the pillars of our educational ethos.
Most of our KISH children grow up bi- or multi-lingual and their languages are further developed at KISH in a playful way. The main language at KISH Kindergarten is German but English is part of our curriculum, and as an OFSTED registered setting we follow the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS).
