As a German Kindergarten abroad, we recognise the importance of adapting to the different experiences children and their families bring to the setting.
A key aspect of our work is to create a sound social environment and support children not only in their language development but to form loving and trusting relationships. To achieve this, we value the importance of qualitative care and practitioners. All of our teachers provide every child with necessary love, warmth and safety.
Forest education plays a vital part in our ethos through which the children learn consideration towards the natural environment, especially on our Nature Day. One morning session per week the group explores our natural surrounding in more depth and takes excursions to our neighbouring woodlands or engages in educational projects in our garden. In our spacious garden children experience freedom to explore and to practice healthy risk taking. The safe use of tools is also part of our routine at KISH.
The overall framework of our curriculum is set by the four seasons, German and multicultural festivities and traditions, as well as the EYFS.
